(Adapted from Buddhist Prayers) May all beings everywhere, plagued with sufferings of body and mind, quickly be freed from their illness, and may we do nothing to contribute to their pain. May those frightened, cease to be afraid - and may we do nothing to contribute to their fear. May those bound, be free - and may we do nothing to stifle their potential. May we work for friendship among the nations. May we guard the vulnerable, nurture what is beautiful and be given strength and courage as we strive to live our lives in the light of eternity. Amen
